Andrew studied Electrical Engineering at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art before beginning the MD/PhD program in 2014. Andrew completed his PhD under the mentorship of Miriam Merad, producing a thesis entitled "Multiscale characterization of non-small-cell lung cancer identifies cellular determinants of tumor immunity." Resulting work has led to the initiation of early-phase clinical trials in the treatment of Lung Cancer and has been published in high-impact journals such as Nature and Cell.
Andrew would like to thank his family, friends, and many collaborators and advisors, especially his PhD mentor Miriam Merad and key collaborator Effi Kenigsberg.
Starting in July, Andrew will complete a residency in Pathology at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.
