DeAnalisa Jones

DeAnalisa came to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from Columbia University, where she majored in Biomedical Engineering. Before matriculating into the MD/PhD Program in 2018, DeAnalisa was a Post-baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) Scholar at Icahn.

DeAnalisa is a member of the Association of Native American Medical Students (ANAMS) National Executive Board and founded Icahn’s ANAMS chapter. While at Icahn, she has also served as a student psychotherapist at the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP), a member of the American Medical Association (AMA) Medical Student Section Committee on American Indian Affairs, and a Center for Anti-Racism in Practice (CAP) fellow. She is the recipient of a Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA Predoctoral Fellowship from the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI).

DeAnalisa thanks her parents Don and Deborah Jones for teaching her the importance of service and community building, MSTP leadership for investing in her and uplifting her voice, and her MSTP cohort for being a second family.

DeAnalisa anticipates completing her MD/PhD training in 2025.
