Meet 2023 Award Recipient
Fred Kwon
Fred came to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Biomedical Imaging and Radiation Physics. Before attending Icahn, Fred worked as a research assistant at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He entered the MD/PhD program in 2016.
While at Icahn, Fred volunteered in the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP), the ISMMS student-run free clinic, as a Senior Clinician, Radiology Interest Group, Sinai BioDesign, and Machine Learning 4 Health organization committee. He published 23 articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national meetings.
Fred would like to thank his family, friends, and the countless faculty members at Sinai who have supported his education and training.
